Who We Are
The goal of TBC is to preach the Word of God, to win the lost, and to disciple the saved. Our absolute truth is the Bible. Worship services are always centered around preaching and teaching the whole council of God. Pastor Moore has instilled in his congregation that their goal should not be to become just another "big church", but to be actively involved in building the Kingdom of God.
Trinity Baptist Church prayerfully and financially supports more than 100 missionaries in the field, both home and abroad. Each supported individual or family has personally presented their mission to the church. We earnestly strive to carry out the Great Commission as given to us by our Lord in Matthew 28:19-20.
Many years ago, Dr. K.C. Stevens' spiritual heartbeat was to establish a Bible believing church in the Martinez-Evans area of Georgia. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Trinity Baptist Church began in March of 1972 in a small, rented storefront building located at the corner of Belair and Columbia Roads. Through faith, the little congregation led by Dr.Stevens set forth to establish a work that would honor God and meet the spiritual needs of the people in the community. Although things were not easy for this small, but determined congregation, God blessed in unusual ways and soon the church purchased property and constructed facilities where the present church is located today.
Dr. K.C. Stevens retired after 41 years of faithful service. He was honored with the title of Pastor Emeritus by his successor, Pastor Matthew S. Moore, who was elected in December 2013 to serve as the undershepherd of Trinity Baptist Church.
